Microscopic picture
For this exercise, you will create a teeny tiny little picture that can only be seen under a microscope. Everyone will need to make their own picture so you may have find a way to share the microscopes. The theme of the picture must be appropriate to the technology that it will be shown on. You will both print this image out and turn it on for me to look under a microscope and you will bring the image in as a digital file so that I can compile them on a CD on November 5. This is not as easy as it sounds.

"...a creative lull occurs always when artists of a period are satisfied to pick up a predecessor's work where he dropped it and attempt to continue what he was doing. When on the other hand you pick up something from an earlier period and adapt it to your own work an approach can be creative. The result is not new; but it is new insomuch as it is a different approach." Marcel Duchamp
