Advanced 2D imaging processes will be explored from a conceptual perspective. Use of a digital sketchbook (blog), scanners, cameras, and other input devices and processes will be explored as well as a variety of challenging output options. Focus is on “out-of-the-box” exploration using two-dimensional media.

Old technology/New technology projection project
After visiting the University of Florida surplus division, students scavenge for obsolete imaging equipment and create objects and installations that hybridize different forms of projection. Students use “old” technologies as a catalyst for thinking about how the “medium is the message.”
