Experimental Documentary with a Spatial Option
At its most basic definition, documentary is about observing and documenting. Typically, when we think about documentary, we think about media whose themes and content are concerned with an issue/a need to show or uncover something that is invisible. Using ideas related to experimental documentary make work about an issue of your choice. Your video should be expressive and poetic. Often experimental documentary draws from art forms such as painting, dance, sculpture or photography. Documentaries have some sort factuality about them, though there may be elements of fiction like re-enactment in an experimental documentary. In this assignment, you have the option and are encouraged to think about space beyond the screen.
